The Property

ChairGardenIrisGlenn Meadow’s property is a family-friendly environment that includes 10 acres of Michigan farmland, woods, walking trails, a pond, and a vegetable garden. The bird watching is superb – and the walking trails are easily managed by people of all ages.

You and the kids can feel free to to “muck” around the pond, or take advantage of the large lawn areas that are perfect for playing outdoor games. If you are fond of playing in the dirt, I have vegetable gardens where you can pick fresh ingredients for your breakfasts or box lunches. Or you might enjoy sitting quietly on the back deck, where you can watch the deer come into the fields to graze.

South Haven Area

Glenn Meadow is ideally situated just off Blue Star Highway  and only minutes from three gorgeous public beaches, several parks, hiking and biking trails, and fruit orchards. A 10-minute drive into downtown South Haven offers you an abundance of shops, restaurants, art galleries, a movie theater, and grocery stores.

I have done quite a bit of traveling and believe that the shoreline of Lake Michigan is one of the most beautiful areas that I have experienced. In every season, the lake, beaches and parks are magnificent. Travel the scenic Blue Star Highway and back roads between South Haven and Saugatuck to discover a distinctive, culturally diverse community. You, too, will become enchanted by the pastoral rural countryside, breathtaking views and sandy beaches along the Lake Michigan shoreline.

South Haven

Welcome to South Haven! Located on the eastern shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Black River, South Haven offers an abundance of recreational activities year round, though the summer is an especially lively time. Whether your greatest moments are spent beach combing, boating, sailing, golfing, hiking, biking, fishing, wine tasting, visiting u-pick farms, horseback riding, camping or  attending festivals, you and your family are certain to enjoy yourselves in South Haven. But don’t take our word for it – come explore and see for yourself, or trust glowing reviews from publications like The New York Times, Midwest Living, Michigan Travel Ideas, Chicago Sun Times, Chicago Tribune, and Detroit Free Press.

Saugatuck/Douglas  – The Art Coast of Michigan

Glenn Meadow B&B is just a short drive to the Saugatuck/Douglas area. Visitors to these neighboring resort towns can leave their tensions and stressful schedules behind. They can mellow out in surroundings reminiscent of vintage, small-town America, whose hallmarks are scenic beauty and a unique collection of shops, restaurants and art galleries. For those wanting to mix relaxation with excitement, the area offers a year-round calendar of fun-filled activities events. The two towns are nestled among towering sand dunes and are bordered by the winding Kalamazoo River on its way to Lake Michigan. Activities abound on the two waterways. Saugatuck’s Oval Beach has been rated by Conde Nast’s Traveler magazine as one of the 25 best shorelines in the world and one of America’s 11 great beach towns.
